The Faculty of Agriculture of the National Development University "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) once again sent its best students to participate in the International Internship Program at Yukiguni Maitake Co., Ltd., Japan. In Batch 2, 11 students from three study programs at the Faculty of Agriculture officially departed for a six-month internship in Gosen, Niigata Prefecture.
The students participating in Batch 2 of the International Internship Program were Muhammad Ilham Nuril Furqon, Fadhil Aysar Ramadhan, Evanio Eka Devaratana, Amri Muhammad Ridho, Abi Zakaria Fiqih Firdaus, Muhammad Daffa Haidar Rafi, Riovaldo Pandiangan, Zaki Ahmad Ghazali, Banu Chairul Imam, Rijal Habiburrahman, and Jadwa Hejira Kasim.
This internship program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world work experience in mushroom cultivation and processing, while also learning about the Japanese work culture, renowned for its discipline, innovation, and efficiency.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at UPNVY expressed his hope that students would take advantage of this valuable opportunity to hone their skills, broaden their global perspectives, and bring the spirit of young Indonesian farmers to the Land of the Rising Sun. "We hope this experience will not only provide technical knowledge and skills, but also shape the students' character into resilient individuals with integrity, ready to contribute to Indonesia's food security," he said.
With the enthusiasm to learn and work at Yukiguni Maitake, the students are expected to bring home new knowledge that will be useful in supporting sustainable agricultural innovation in Indonesia.
