The Integrity Zone is divided into six main areas, each focusing on ensuring the realization of good governance that is free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism. The six areas are as follows:
- Change Management
This area aims to systematically and consistently transform work mechanisms, mindsets, and work culture within the organization to become better aligned with the goals and objectives of the Integrity Zone development.
- Governance Arrangement
This area focuses on improving systems, processes, and work procedures to make them clearer, more effective, efficient, and measurable in supporting the realization of the Integrity Zone. It includes the use of information technology and effective records management.
- Human Resource Management System Improvement
The goal of this area is to enhance the professionalism of human resources through transparent and performance-based systems for recruitment, promotion, rotation, and competency development.
- Accountability Strengthening
This area seeks to increase the capacity and capability of government institutions to achieve accountability. It includes improving the quality of performance reporting as well as monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
- Internal Control Strengthening
This area focuses on enhancing internal supervision to prevent irregularities, fraud, and maladministration. It includes the control of gratuities, handling of public complaints, and other internal oversight mechanisms.
- Public Service Quality Improvement
This area aims to enhance the quality and innovation of public services in line with community needs and expectations. It includes the fulfilment of service standards, the establishment of complaint management systems, and the development of technology-based service improvements.
