Welcome to the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVYK). Established by Indonesia’s independence fighters with the mission of contributing to the nation, UPNVYK embodies the spirit of Bela Negara (State Defense). Through the Faculty of Agriculture, we are committed to serving the nation, particularly in the agricultural sector, through education, research, and innovation.

UPNVYK has a unique history.  It started as a higher education institution under the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, then moved to the Ministry of Veterans and Demobilization, and finally to the Ministry of Defense and Security.  The university later became a private institution overseen by Kopertis Region V, before eventually acquiring its current position as a public university under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

Today, the Faculty of Agriculture is a growing and prestigious institution that offers three undergraduate programs: agrotechnology, agribusiness, and soil science, all of which have earned UNGGUL accreditation. At the graduate level, the faculty currently oversees the Master's Program in Agribusiness, Master's Program in Soil Science, and Master's Program in Agrotechnology. In the near future, we intend to start a Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences.

The Faculty of Agriculture is dedicated to continuing improvement and innovation, adapting to the rapid developments of agricultural research and technology in order to benefit humanity.  This dedication embodies our guiding tagline, Widya Mwat Yasa, which means the pursuit of knowledge dedicated to the growth of the nation.
